Frequently Asked Questions

Home physiotherapy, also known as home health physiotherapy, involves providing physical therapy services to patients in their own homes rather than in a clinical or hospital setting. This type of therapy is beneficial for individuals who may have difficulty traveling to a therapy center due to illness, mobility issues, or other health concerns.
Home physiotherapy offers personalized care tailored to the patient's specific needs, with treatments conducted in the comfort of their own home, eliminating the need for travel. It includes comprehensive assessments of the home environment, flexible scheduling, and a focus on functional training to improve independence. Physiotherapists also educate caregivers on how to assist with exercises and condition management. Treatment may integrate modalities like heat, ice, or electrical stimulation, and takes a holistic approach by addressing physical, emotional, and environmental factors. Home physiotherapy also emphasizes injury prevention and may incorporate telehealth for ongoing support, ensuring a comprehensive and accessible treatment experience.
Home physiotherapy offers numerous advantages, including the convenience of receiving treatment in the comfort of one’s own home, which reduces travel time and anxiety. It provides personalized care tailored to the patient’s environment, enhancing functional training with real-life activities. Ideal for individuals with mobility issues or chronic conditions, home physiotherapy promotes better accessibility and allows for family involvement, ensuring strong support. It also minimizes exposure to infections and offers flexible scheduling to fit the patient’s routine. Additionally, therapists can address environmental factors contributing to the patient's condition, leading to more effective recovery and improved adherence to treatment.
Online physiotherapy, also known as tele-physiotherapy, is the practice of delivering physiotherapy services remotely using digital platforms, such as video calls, mobile apps, or web-based software. It allows patients to receive professional guidance, assessments, and treatment plans from licensed physiotherapists without needing to visit a clinic or hospital
Online physiotherapy offers a convenient and accessible way to receive physiotherapy treatment remotely. It involves virtual assessments through video calls, where physiotherapists evaluate a patient's condition and movement. Customized exercise plans are provided, often with video demonstrations, and patients perform exercises with real-time guidance during live sessions. Progress is tracked through follow-ups, and treatment plans are adjusted as needed. Additionally, online physiotherapy includes patient education on posture, ergonomics, and symptom management, as well as home exercise programs for days without live sessions.
Online physiotherapy offers several advantages, including customizable treatment plans that adapt to individual needs and progress. It enhances accessibility by reaching patients globally, including rural areas. It ensures continuity of care, even during busy schedules, lockdowns, or travel. The convenience eliminates travel time and traffic, saving patients time. It also empowers individuals to manage their own recovery and promotes self-reliance. Additionally, online physiotherapy offers flexible timing, making it ideal for those with busy lifestyles.
